5 tips on how to dress for cold weather

Contrary to popular beliefs, dressing warm doesn’t have to be boring and tiresome; it can be stylish and fun. Here are 5 essentials to ensure you stay chic on a cold season;

1.  Boots

From thigh high to ankle, boots are there to accessorize your outfits and at the same time keep you warm. Go for gray, brown and black ones as they give a more elegant feel to your outfits.  They can be paired with dresses, skirts and even pants.

2.  Coats

These also vary from trench coats to duffel coats to British warm and they are a good way to start off this season.  They are convenient as they can be worn to work, school and just about anywhere. They are also elegant and give a bossy feel to your outfit.

3.  Scarfs

Throwing on a scarf, I must say, is the easiest way to keep warm and look good in a rainy season. They come in almost all colors, shapes and sizes giving you a variety to choose from.  They are also convenient for unpredictable weather as you can pull them off when the sun comes out.

4.  Turtle & Pull necks

This has to be my all-time favorite cold season piece; because they are just amazingly beautiful and the transformation they give to a somewhat boring look is just incredible.  Pair it with a skirt or pants and a coat or sweater on it and you have a complete warm and stylish look.

5.  Umbrella

I know most of y’all will read this and be like really? Yes an umbrella is an accessory and it does make an outfit better than it did; or worse if it doesn’t look good. Go for umbrellas that have a subtle color to ensure you can wear it with anything.
