Sikaa: The Luxurious Fashion Brand from Cameroon
Sikaa is a luxurious fashion brand from Cameroon. This fashion brand was created with the belief of dispelling that luxury style is only reserved for the West and not Africa. Each of their garment uniquely shares the story of the beauty, tradition and culture of Africa. The textures, colors, and patterns of each garment celebrates the African form. For example, the colors and patterns of their garments are as bold and vibrant as the African landscape itself: sunset oranges, vivid greens, and azure blues and in an array of floral and animal prints.
Sikaa luxurious fashion brand was the idea of John Tchoudi. John had a burning desire to create handmade garments inspired by Africanism and fashioned from authentic fabrics. His passion to change how the world viewed the African fashion drove him to leave his fashion work from another brand and set up his own. He came up with the brand name Sikaa from his native language Bamileke, from West Cameroon, meaning, God’s will.
Sikaa is transforming the African fashion narrative worldwide. It is continuously driven by its set of values in all their endeavors. Their concern to make women feel beautiful has pushed them to continuously innovate and improve on their designs. Inclusivity has also motivated them to create clothes for women irrespective of their place of origin, shape, size, color, or race.
