Home-made eyeliner makeup can give you a fresh and unique look. Whether you are short on eyeliner or you have got a favorite shade of the eyeshadow you have died to see on your lash line, there is a simple way to turn any eye shadow into an eyeliner. All you need to do is experiment with endless different eyeshadow shades and a few products that you already have without getting out to buy new makeup. It is easy and super fun, and below we have highlighted how you can make an eyeliner out of eyeshadow.
Step 1: Collect all the things you need

Before diving into making an eyeliner from eyeshadow, collect all the things you need. You need: a small container, powdered eyeshadow, water, eyeliner brush, primer, and a cotton swab. Then, clean your hands to sanitize them. Thereafter, take the powder eyeshadow of your choice. If you wish to make shimmery or satiny eyeliner, go for powder eye shadows, which contain shimmer or glitter particles. If you want a matte finish for your eyeliner, then use powder eyeshadows in matte finish. Proceed to scrapping the eye shadow gently with a clean cotton swab, and transfer the loose powder into a small container. The container has to be clean before use to avoid bacterial infections. The amount of the eyeshadow to be used for making the eyeliner depends on how much you require.
Step 2: Add water

Never underestimate the power of a bit of water. Add a few drops of water to the powder eye shadow to create a liquid-like consistency which you can easily swipe across your upper and lower eyelids just like you would a liquid liner.
Step 3: Mix the eyeshadow

Mix the powder eyeshadow well to form a thin liquid liner consistency using a pointed eyeliner brush. Start by adding few drops of water to avoid a runny consistency. Mix the powder eye shadow with the water for approximately 2 minutes to avoid any lumps and check for fine consistency.
Step 4: Add small amount of primer

Now that you have created a fine consistency, it is time to add a small amount of eye primer or a face primer to your mixture. A primer increases the longevity of your eyeliner. It also avoids any creasing or budging of your home-made eyeliner.
Step 5: Mix all the contents again

Mix the contents again for two minutes till the primer blends well with the eyeliner. Close the cap of the container tightly, and store it. Your home-made eyeliner will last for a long time and it will maintain its quality even after several days of storage.
