Interestingly, the designers began making handbags made from upcycled bottle tops in Kenya. Indeed, through a collaboration with Mulberry, these sustainable handbags became international bestsellers. Therefore, the brand supported artisans and funded health and education for the young people in Africa.

Moreover, they have a signature, Mistura braiding technique, that blends upcycled metal with Zero Deforestation Amazon leather in a unique and complex weave.
Bottletop Creates More Decent Jobs
Furthermore, bottletop trains local artisans with new skills and crafts which they use to make their bags in their small atelier in Brazil. Apart from working in conducive environments, their workers earn 45% more than the Brazilian industry average.

Together Brand Collection is handmade at Bottletop’s atelier in Nepal by a collective of women who government agencies have rescued from human trafficking. The designers make the bags in this collection using Humanium Metal and 100% Parley Ocean Plastic.
